User Management: Resend a User Activation Invitation

User Management: Resend a User Activation Invitation

Overview

Administrators can resend an activation invitation to users who have not signed in to the platform yet. This is helpful when a new user did not receive the original invitation or needs the activation email sent again.

When to resend an activation invitation

Use Resend User Invitation when a user has been created but has not signed in or activated their account.

The user details window shows whether the user has signed in before.

Resend an invitation

To resend a user activation invitation:

  1. Log in to the admin platform.
  2. Select Directory from the left-side navigation.
  3. Search for or locate the user.
  4. Click the user’s row in the Users table.
  5. Review the user’s status in the user details window.
  6. Click Resend User Invitation.

The user will receive another activation email.

Important note for users who have already signed in

The resend invitation option is intended for users who have not signed in before.

If the user has already signed in, resending the activation invitation will not help them regain access. If the user does not remember their password, they should use the password reset option on the login page.

Troubleshooting

The user still did not receive the invitation

Ask the user to check their spam or junk folder. Confirm that the email address on the user record is correct. If needed, update the user’s email address and resend the invitation.

The user has already signed in but cannot access their account

The user should reset their password from the login page.

I do not see the Resend User Invitation button

Confirm that you have access to manage users in the Directory section.
